Apple Developer Program and Account

Creation date: 5/9/2021 1:50 PM    Updated: 8/13/2024 6:25 PM
NOTEWe DO NOT recommend enrolling with Apple as an individual, due to the level of scrutiny during app review that individual developer accounts receive. It's recommended to register as a Company/Organization in the Apple Developer Program, so we can also take care of your Apple account setup and app maintenance for you.

2023-12-05 UPDATE: Apple has further restricted our ability to complete basic app setup and maintenance tasks as an Admin on Apple Developer accounts registered as a personal account.

===== WE CAN ONLY WORK WITH APPLE DEVELOPER ACCOUNTS REGISTERED IN A COMPANY NAME =====

Open An Apple Developer Account

Go to Apple Developer Program and click the blue Enroll button.

Click on Start Your Enrollment.

In the next screen:

{A} - You'll need a dedicated Apple ID (email address) setup on your magazine's domain - e.g. anna@mymagazine.com.

{B} - Once you have the Apple ID, click on the 'Create yours now' link.

NOTE: You're going to need a basic 3-4 page website to enroll in the Apple Developer program (on the same domain as your email address for the Apple ID). Let Damian know during your Onboarding & Strategy call if you'd like us to set one up for you.

In the next screen, complete the Apple ID form and then click on Continue.

In the next screen, tick to accept Apple Developer Program Agreement and click on Submit.

Select Option 2: Company / Organisation.
