03-Enable Push

Next, you're going to set up the Push Notification system for the app:

STEP 01

In the MagCast Dashboard, click on Setup menu

Then select Enable Push

Click on Generate CSR to download the CSR file to your computer.

STEP 02

Open the Apple Developer Portal in a new tab

Ensure that Identifiers is selected in the left sidebar.

Click on the (+) icon.

STEP 03

In the next screen, select App ID and then click on Continue.

STEP 04

In the next screen, you are going to register your App (Bundle) ID.

Under Platform, ensure that iOS, tvOS, watchOS is enabled.

Under Description, copy over the name provided from the Enable Push section of MagCast.

Under Bundle ID, ensure the Explicit option is selected and then copy over the Explicit App ID provided from the Enable Push section of MagCast.

Next, under Capabilities, scroll down and enable

Associated Domains
Push Notifications

Tip! Push Notifications is the 7th option from the bottom of the page.

Once done, click on the Continue button top-right.

In the next screen, click Submit

In the next screen, click Done

Your app Bundle ID is now ready for editing.

STEP 05

Next, click on All Identifiers link in the top-left of the page to go back to your Identifiers list.

From the Identifiers list, select the Bundle ID that you just created.

In the next screen, scroll down to and select Push Notifications.

Then click on Configure

A pop-up will appear.

In this screen, under Production SSL Certificate, click on Create Certificate.

In the next screen, click Choose file

a.) select CSR file saved to your computer

b.) click Open

c.) click on Continue top-right to create your aps.cer file.

Once processed, download your aps.cer file

STEP 06

Go back to the Enable Push section in Magcast (Setup menu).

Scroll down to Step 5: Upload .CER File

a) Click on Choose File

b) Choose the aps.cer file

c) Click on open

d) Click Upload

TIP! Once uploaded, check your browser address bar to confirm if upload worked.

If it says (stat=ok), then your Push Certificate has successfully been redone!

Click on Your Magazine to go back to Main Dashboard.
