02-Create New Magazine

Now that the Account Certificate has been setup, you should see a blue Create New Magazine button in the account. Click on it to create the magazine slot.

A form will appear listing some specific information needed to create the magazine slot.
Simply complete the form with the following details:

App Name – app name intended for the live app
Magazine Name – app name shown in MagCast dashboard only

Next section is the app images.

Splash Page (Launch) Images

This is a single image that will be resized in to the following dimensions. When reader’s open your app, this is the first image they will see as your app loads on their device.

App Splash Page iPhone Image (640 x 960px PNG Format)
App Splash Page iPhone 6 Plus Image (1242 x 2208px PNG Format)
App Splash Page iPhone X Image (1125 x 2436px PNG Format)

App Icons

This is a single image that will be resized in to the following dimensions. The small and large app icon must be identical.

App Icon Image (180 x 180px PNG Format)
The small app icon will be used as the icon reader’s will see when they download your app on to their device.

App Icon Image (1024 x 1024px PNG Format)
The large app icon will be used for your App listing on the App Store.

Note: These images are included in the binary of your app and must be in place before you build your app.

The next section is the Subscription Teaser and Subscription Text.

Subscription Teaser – this description will appear in the top-left corner of your app’s homescreen and is used to highlight any benefits a reader can get by Subscribing. e.g. “Click The Subscribe Button Now To Download the Latest Issue. Save 50% on our Annual Subscription!!”

Subscription Text – this text appears at the top of the Subscribe pop-up when your readers tap the yellow Subscribe button. This text is just a basic details about your subscriptions e.g. “Free trial for one month, then $19.99/year.”

Final section is your Contact Details.

Privacy URL – You will need a Privacy page setup on your site. Paste in the Url of your privacy page in the field provided.
Terms URL – You will also need a separate Terms page setup on your site. Paste in the Terms Url in the field provided.
Support Email – this is the support email readers can use to contact you for help.
