05-Add iOS App To App Store Connect

Check Your Admin Access

Before you can edit a Publisher's App Store Connect account, you will need to be added as an admin.

If you are not sure what to do, simply follow these steps.

Once you have access to the Publisher's account, you can continue with the steps below:


Step 01 – Setup App Profile in App Store Connect

Login to the publisher's App Store Connect account.

Click on My Apps



Click on the Add App button or the top-left “+” icon to create a new app
NOTE: This will change depending on whether the account is brand new or already has apps in it.




Then complete the New App form that pops up as indicated below.


NOTE: The App’s Bundle ID should be in the list. You would have created the Bundle ID in the Enable Push setup phase. If it is not showing, go back to Enable Push section and follow the steps.

User Access should be set to Full access


Once the above is in place, click on the Create button.


Step 02 – App Information

Click on the App Information tab in the left-sidebar menu.


In the next screen, under Localizable Information, the app name should already be populated.

Scroll down General Information section

Under the Category section > Primary category
Select the main category that the Publisher chose for his app (See Onboarding Form).

Under the Category section > Secondary category 
Select Magazines & Newspapers


Next scroll down to Content Rights section and click on Set Up Content Rights Information button.
 


In the pop-up that appears, tick the below option and click on Done.
Yes, it contains, shows, or accesses third-party content, and I have the necessary rights



Once the above is in place, click on Save in the top-right of page.



Step 03 – Pricing and Availability

Next, click on the Pricing & Availability tab in the left-sidebar menu.

 
 
In dropdown menu below Price Schedule, select USD 0.0 (Free).



The above selection will automatically alter the Availability section to be All countries or regions selected.

Under iPhone and iPad Apps on Apple Silicon Macs, make sure that Make this app available option is not ticked.  At this stage, the MagCast App does not offer support for the feature.



Under the App Distribution Methods, the option Public — Discoverable by anyone on the App Store (default) should be selected by default.


Once the above is in place, click on Save in the top-right of page.

 

Step 04 – App Privacy

 Next, click on App Privacy in the left-sidebar menu.


Next to Privacy Policy click on the Edit button.


In the next screen, in the field provided copy in your Privacy Policy Url and then click on Save.



Next, you will select the Data Collection setting for the app – click on the blue Get Started button.



In the pop-up that appears, check the box for No, we do not collect data from this app and click on Save.



Now you can publish the selections be clicking on the Publish button and then confirm by selecting Publish again.


Step 05 – App Details Section

Click on the 1.0 Prepare For Submission link in the left-sidebar menu.



Under Version Information scroll down to the Description field.
 
Enter a description about your app. You can use the template we created for you here (click to open). The bottom part of the template is important and must be added to your app description or your app will not be approved.


Next: Complete the following fields to the right of your app description.

 
 Enter your app keywords in the keywords field

Enter the URL of your support page on the Support URL field

Enter the URL of your website in the Marketing URL field

Scroll down to General App Information section

Next to Rating click on the Edit link



In the next screen, select the appropriate app ratings for the app (as per example below) and then click on the Done button [See the Onboarding Form for the Publisher's Content Rating selections].




To the right of the General App Information section in the Copyright field enter the Publisher's company name.
 
 
 
Next, scroll down to the App Review Information.

Untick the option Sign-in Required.
Then complete the Publisher's Contact Information [See Onboarding Form].



Finally, scroll down to Version Release

Then click on Automatically release this version


 Once done, click on Save at the top-right of the page.
 
Next, click here to start the Subscription setup process.
