After your app has been approved for the first time, if you need to setup additional subscriptions for your app simply follow these steps…

Login to your MagCast account, open the Setup Menu and select Subscriptions.

In the next screen, under the Phase 3: Enable Subscription Plans & Details section, click on Enable Subscription Steps toggle.

This will reveal the Subscription Product IDs.

Tick the next available Subscription Plan, give the plan a name/label (e.g. Quarterly Subscription) and copy the Product ID — keep it handy.

NOTE: this is the subscription name that your readers will see inside your app. Apple requires you to label your subscriptions clearly so that readers understand exactly what subscriptions options you have.

Next, login to App Store Connect Account > click on My Apps > select your App icon.

In the next screen, Click on Subscription Groups in the left-sidebar menu, under In App Purchases.

In the next screen, open your Subscription Group.

In the next screen, click on the Plus “+” icon next to Subscriptions title.

In the pop-up that appears, add the name of your Subscription, as well as the Product ID you copied from your MagCast account.

Click on Create.

In the next screen, open the Subscription Duration dropdown menu and select the duration you prefer.

Next, scroll down to the Subscription Prices section and click on Plus “+” icon next to Subscription Prices title

In the next screen:

Select a Currency type for your App

Select Price Tier

Click on Next

Your selection will process for a few minutes.

In the next screen, click on Create

Then click on OK

Click on the ‘+’ plus icon and select the main Language for your app

In the next screen:

Add the Subscriptions Name

Add a short description for the subscription

Next, scroll down to the bottom of the Setting page to the Review Information section.

NOTE: This section is used by the Apple Reviewer only.

Here you will need to upload your magazine issue cover

(converted to a 768x1024px image in PNG format)

Click on Choose File.

From your computer, select your issue cover and click Open to upload it.

Wait till image has uploaded and is visible.

Then click on Save.

Now your subscription is ready to be submitted to Apple for review.

At the top of the page, click on the large grey In-App Purchases link.

This acts as a ‘back’ button, which will take you back to your Subscription Group.

Back in the Subscription group, your new subscription should have Ready to submit status on the far-right.

To submit your new subscription for review, simply tick your Subscription to select it and then click on the Submit for Review button at the top-right of the screen.

Once Apple has approved your new subscription, they will send you an email to confirm.

IMPORTANT: If you’ve made a mistake with your subscription, Do NOT delete your In App purchase, you can always click on it and edit the information. If you delete it, Apple will NOT let you select the same Product ID as shown above. If you do not use the same Product ID, the subscription will not work.
