How To Create An Invisible Issue
The Invisible issue type allows you to setup issues that are only visible in your magazine if purchased or accessed via a special link that you provide your readers.
Once issue is purchased or the link is tapped, the issue will appear in the app homescreen and will remain visible for that reader. Details on how to setup special links can be found at the end of this article. Readers who have not purchased the issue or don't have the access link will not see this issue in the app homescreen.
Click on your issue Cover
Select Edit Issue Settings from your issue menu.
Scroll down to This Magazine is > tick either Paid or Free.
Scroll down to Magazine Issue Type > then tick Invisible
Click Save Changes.
Free Invisible Issues
Choose from one of the following options to setup an access link for your Invisible issue.
+ Deep Links - access links that can only be accessed from inside an issue.
The above option is generally used if you are promoting an invisible issue from inside a different issue as part of a special marketing campaign. These links only work inside MagCast magazine issues and should not be used for external promotions.
+ Redirect Links - access links that can be used on websites, social media or emails.
If you would like to promote an exclusive issue as part of a marketing campaign and need links that work outside of your app, then I recommend setting up a redirect link.
Paid Invisible Issues
All Paid issues need an In App Purchase in order to sell issues individually via the App & Play Stores.
