Creating New Issues
Now that the tech setup of your app has been completed and your app is live in Apple's App Store and the Google Play Store, you might be thinking, "What's next?". Good question! You have now arrived in the sweet spot of being a publisher, planning your next issue and getting your message out there to your readers on a regular basis.
Once you have the content ready, these are the essential steps you will need to follow for each new issue you will be adding to your magazine.
STEP 01
Click the blue New Issue button and then click on the new grey Issue Slot that appears.
STEP 02
FREE ISSUES
If you're publishing a FREE issue, it's not necessary to create a "Free" In App Purchase. Simply follow these steps and mark your issue as free. This setting overrides the subscription setup for your magazine, which ensures it will be free for subscribers and non-subscribers to download.
PAID ISSUES
If you're publishing a PAID Issue, it is highly recommended to submit your Single Issue In App Purchase for review and approval (by Apple) and setup an In App Product for your Android app in advance. This ensures that the In App Purchases are active by the time you are ready to officially publish your issue.
NB! Each issue that you want sell individually MUST have an In App Purchase (i.e. purchase mechanism for your individual issue), otherwise your readers won't be able to buy it in the stores.
